Would you like to become an interior designer or decorator? Or would you like to improve the design of your own home interior?

The AIID Interior Design & Decoration course is a short course designed to provide you with the basics you need to get out into the interior design industry as soon as possible. The Interior Design and Decoration course is great for students who are looking at starting their interior design business or are interested in a career as an interior designer.

By the end of the course students will have completed a professionally presented presentation board for an interior design scheme. Student's will be taken through the steps of developing the design concept, planning the floor plan layout, selecting a colour scheme, choosing materials and finishes and appropriate furniture and accessories and developing the final design presentation board.

Course Outcomes:

By the end of the course students will have an understanding of what is involved in a career as an interior designer. Students will learn how a designer deals with the client to determine and develop an appropriate design scheme, and then present it to the client.

Students will complete a framed interior design presentation board by the end of the course.

At the end of the course students will receive a certificate of achievement for their course participation.

Course Duration:

12 lessons X 3 hrs. (total 36 hours) Over 6 weeks. 9.30am - 4pm with a half hour lunch break each day.

Price:

$950.00. A $200.00 minimum non-refundable deposit is required to enrol and secure a position in the course. The balance of the course fees is due on the course commencement date. (A 5 week direct-debit payment plan with ezypay is available. A $25 admin fee applies to payment plans, information will be sent to students with their confirmation of enrolment).
